Nigel the ram was let with his ladies on the 20th September, he's doing very well mating with them.  He adorned his green crayoned harness and strutted his stuff amongst them.   He isn't friendly at all and we have to pen him up to adjust his harness or give him provin.  After a couple of weeks with a green crayon marking his mated sheep we have changed his colour to red so we know when approximately they will lamb and also know if none have take to being pregnant ('broke' is the farming term for being tupped and then not falling pregnant).

    Prior to tupping we trimmed the tails on the female sheep, worm and vitamin/mineral drenched them.  Any sheep that were lame were treated too with antibiotic spray and a hoof trim.
